Actor Alec Baldwin Declares that Trump is the Real “Virus”
While Trump delivered the grim projection that 240,000 Americans might possibly die from the deadly pandemic, SNL host and Trump impersonator Alec Baldwin announced to his one million followers that the real virus is no other than the United States president.
The actor, a vocal Trump critic, declared that the “virus in the US began in January of 2017.” He added that “The vaccine arrives in November,” implying that it can only be resolved once Trump is out of office.

The vaccine arrives in November.
However, Twitter was having none of it. One social media user commented that Trump is not the real virus.
You're a virus, Alec.

Another user hinted that Baldwin’s opinion is garbage.

While one social media pundit asked Baldwin the reason for his grave dislike of Trump.
Hey Alex why do you hate Trump so much. Can you tell me what he has done to you? Trump has done a lot for this country more than your failed wannabe president Hillary Clinton could ever think of doing.

Moreover, another user simply dismissed the actor’s statements.
Haters gotta hate. Especially those that are washed up actors. Lots of those these days.

Just like other left-wing supporters, Baldwin had capitalized on the coronavirus pandemic to launch a smear campaign against the administration. In fact, just last month, Baldwin vehemently declared that: “The pandemic that threatens the world is Trump.”

In addition to his controversial tweets, Baldwin also went on a Twitter tirade. In January, the actor lashed out against GOP supporters and accused them of being the reason behind the “desecration” of American ideals. He went on to say that the country had always stood for transparency, compassion, and sacrifice and that Trump supporters gave way for the “moral collapse” of the country.

The desecration of those ideals and the near moral collapse of this country falls squarely in the lap of Trump’s supporters, as opposed
Baldwin, who had frequently impersonated the president during his SNL stints, previously announced that he had quit his role as the president, saying that he hated playing the part. However, contrary to his earlier statements, Baldwin returned for SNL’s 45th season premiere in his most loathsome role. Baldwin explained that despite his initial reservation to continue with the Trump impersonations, he was convinced by the show’s producer to go back and see “how important” the role was. He even went on to say that what made the role more bearable was the thought that he had helped the audience to “manage their pain” against the administration.
However, despite all the numerous accusations against Trump’s competence to handle the crisis, the public refuse to believe so. In fact, in a recent Gallup survey, 49% of Americans found that Trump is doing a good job.
The main driver for his high approval rating can be attributed to how he had handled the coronavirus pandemic. To point this out, 60% of Americans approve of Trump’s actions, while a meager 38% had disapproved. Those who had approved the administration’s response were composed of, 94% were Republicans, 60% independents, and 27% Democrats.
