In a statement on left-winged media MSNBC, presidential hopeful and former vice-president Joe Biden claimed that the country does not need President Donald Trump’s daily briefings. He even suggested that Trump should stop campaigning and instead focus on doing his job. Biden began by saying, “We don’t need the kind of talk [the] president is using.” He went on to cite that Trump should stop fiddling with the governors, especially those who belong to the opposition.

Then, Biden slammed Trump’s suggestion that there might have been back door negations about the face masks, which might explain the sudden surge of demand for the medical equipment. Biden simply dissed the president’s remarks, claiming that it was “absolutely bizarre.”

The former vice-president also rolled his accusation that Trump had called the coronavirus pandemic as a “hoax.” He then called out Trump to go to the sidelines and let Dr. Fauci, the spokesperson, on the administration’s coronavirus task force to speak up instead. However, Fauci confirmed that the president had already agreed to their suggestion to extend the country’s shutdown, despite the initial plan to have the country up and running by Easter.

Moreover, Biden continued to say that Trump’s implementation of the “social distancing” guideline had been too late. The Democratic front-runner, who is known for his incoherent statements, claimed that at first, Trump implied that social distancing is not required. Then, the president changed his mind and went on to say that the guideline should be required and that the country should be opened by Easter. Finally, Biden claimed that Trump had already recognized that his plan to open the country in the next few weeks might be impossible. “I mean, let’s just level with the American people,” the former vice-president said. Moreover, he also demanded Trump to “step-up in his efforts to fight the deadly pandemic and to “get things done.”

Watch:

As if those were not enough, Biden blamed Trump for the delayed coronavirus response. He claimed that the president should act more “rapidly.”

The former vice president, who has become infamous for his long list of gaffes, turned to look at his notes.

Confusingly, Biden, who held key positions during the Ebola outbreak, said, “One, we have to depend on what the president is going to do right now.” Realizing his statement, Biden seemed to lose his train of thoughts. He continued by saying, “And first of all, he has to tell—uh uh wait until the cases before anything happens.”

Biden also claimed that the country needs more testing, and led the public to believe that the administration did not provide adequate personal protective equipment to medical personnel such as gloves, masks, shields, and gowns. He also claimed that the country does not have enough medical facilities and equipment, such as ventilators, to treat coronavirus patients.

The truth is that the US is currently the leading country in terms of coronavirus testing, surpassing both Korea and Italy. Thanks to Trump’s aggressive testing, the country can now test up to 65,000 people per day. That’s more than double than South Korea’s 4,000 recorded tests.

Trump also slammed critics over the accusations that the country was not doing enough testing. In fact, the president boasted that the country had reached a new milestone, as it had given 1 million COVID-19 tests. Trump also added the good news that a new rapid coronavirus test kit from Abbott Laboratories has finally received clearance from the FDA.
