In her newly released music video, pop-icon Taylor Swift claimed that she’d be better off as a “man.”

For the video, Swift changed her appearance to look like a man in order to show off the myth of “male privilege.” Swift took inspiration from Leonardo DiCaprio’s movie The Wolf of Wall Street, in which she was seen partying with sexy models on a yacht, smoking, and spreading his legs on the train, and receiving recognition from his colleagues.

The lyrics read, “What’s it like to brag about raking in dollars/And getting bitches and models?/And it’s all good if you’re bad’/And it’s okay if you’re mad/If I was out flashing my dollars/ I’d be a bitch, not a baller.”

The chorus also goes, “I’m so sick of running as fast as I can/ Wondering if I’d get there quicker if I was a man/ And I’m so sick of them coming at me again/‘Cause if I was a man/Then I’d be the man.”

However, instead of empowering people, some conservatives felt offended by the video. As Breitbart News, John Nolte called Swift as “America’s Crybaby.” Nolte wrote: “But if you look at the video if you look at her message, Taylor Swift is pouting because she believes that if she were a guy, she could be more obnoxious than she already is.”

He also added, “The message here is quite revealing. Swift is not searching for a path to something mature and noble, for something that matters, something good that would be more available to her if she were a guy. No, she’s angry that guys get to be bigger jerks than she does, that guys are allowed to be dicks and have temper tantrums. Swift is saying, No fair! I wanna be a guy so I can be more obnoxious, loud, inconsiderate, spoiled, and self-centered!!”

Finally, Nolte summed up the disparity between genders saying, “A guy could also never get away with a lazy video like “The Man.” Good grief, if he were to attack the female gender with a bunch of stereotypes, he’d be blacklisted and canceled before the day was out. But our poor, little rich girl will only be met with SLAYYYY KWEEEEENNNN, thanks to the female privilege that helped to make her who she is—which is someone increasingly insulated, humorless, and insufferable.”

People on social media also aired their reactions. One Twitter user posted, “I just watched Taylor Swift’s The Man music video and I’m so tired of women acting like victims. We have all the same rights. We have all the same opportunities. You know what acting like a victim gets you? The feeling you’ll never succeed and unhappiness.”

Another user also expressed the bias “#TaylorSwiftIsOverParty #TheManMusicVideo #TheMan I totally agree with Gender equality, but @taylorswift13 this son of a bitch is trying to make Feminism higher than men, and that’s NOT OK. And also, the whole stolen copyright thing is just clout shit so you can sell more album.”

“I feel so bad that men are treated this way. A woman dressing up as a man and acting like a dick. And Taylor’s saying being a woman is hard #Men #TaylorSwift#TaylorSwiftIsOverParty #TheManMusicVideo.”

Recently, Swift had made headlines for her political stand after years of silence. In a previous article, The Patriot Hill reported that Swift, “promised to use her 126 million-strong social media followers to fight against Republicans in the upcoming 2020 elections.” In her statements, Swift claimed that “I think a lot of people are like me, where they just didn’t really know that this could happen. But I’m just focused on the 2020 election. I’m really focused on it. I’m really focused on how I can help and not hinder it. Because I also don’t want it to backfire again, because I do feel that the celebrity involvement with Hillary’s campaign was used against her in a lot of ways.”

Swift had also called Senator Marsha Blackburn “Trump in a wig” while publicly endorsing her opponent Sen. Tennessee Democrats Phil Bredesen. In her comments, Swift expressed her belief that what Blackburn does is “unchristian.” Swift said, “ [Blackburn] votes against the reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act, which is just basically protecting us from domestic abuse and stalking. Stalking. She thinks that if you’re a gay couple, or even if you look like a gay couple, you should be allowed to be kicked out of a restaurant. It’s really basic human rights, and it’s right and wrong at this point, and I can’t see another commercial and see her disguising these policies behind the words ‘Tennessee Christian values.’ Those aren’t Tennessee Christian values. I live in Tennessee. I am Christian. That’s not what we stand for.”
