John Legend, who had publicly endorsed presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren, told the crowd in a South Carolina rally last Wednesday that he “cannot wait any longer to undo all the evil, all the corruption that Trump has unleashed.”

The Grammy and Oscar-winning singer addressed the crowd by praising Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and calling her “brilliant.” The singer went on to claim that he had “work my butt off to make sure Trump was a one-term president.”

In his statement, Legend trashed Trump by stating that “We cannot wait any longer to undo all the evil, all the corruption that Trump has unleashed in the last few years.” He continued, “I know the bar is really low right now. We have a president who embarrasses this country. Wouldn’t it be refreshing to have a woman of Senator Warren’s brilliance replacing him?”

Legend shamelessly went on to promote Warren, as he stated that he was “happy” to report that “I already marked my choice” believing that the Democratic candidate will “give democracy back to its rightful owners.”

The singer told the crowd why he chose Warren. “She supports creating a commission on reparations for the descendants of enslaved people. Unlike Mayor Bloomberg, she knows that housing discrimination through redlining has been a national tragedy,” as he referred to the former New York City Mayor.

He added, “She doesn’t spend time whining and dining billionaires, she might just personally call you and say thank you,” despite Legend having a reported asset of $45 million.

The musician was among the list of celebrities who had publicly announced their support for Sen. Warren. The list includes Ashley Judd, Patricia Arquette, and Jack Black.

The news does not come as a surprise as Legend, along with his wife, model Chrissy Teigen had a long-standing hatred towards Trump. In a previous NBC news special report, Trump complained that the couple and GOP did not recognize his contribution to passing the bipartisan criminal justice legislation.

In a series of tweets, Trump wrote: “….musician @johnlegend, and his filthy mouthed wife, are talking now about how great it is - but I didn’t see them around when we needed help getting it passed. “Anchor”@LesterHoltNBC doesn’t even bring up the subject of President Trump or the Republicans when talking about…”

Trump continued “…..the importance or passage of Criminal Justice Reform. They only talk about the minor players or people that had nothing to do with it…And the people that so desperately sought my help when everyone else had failed, all they talk about now is Impeaching President Trump!”

Finally, the President added “…A man named @VanJones68, and many others, were profusely grateful (at that time!). I SIGNED IT INTO LAW, no one else did, & Republicans deserve much credit. But now that it is passed, people that had virtually nothing to do with it are taking the praise. Guys like boring…..”

Legend, who was a founder of the justice advocacy group FreeAmerica even went to insult Trump. “Imagine being president of a whole country and spending your Sunday night hate-watching MSNBC hoping somebody—ANYBODY—will praise you,” Legend responded.

He also tweeted, “Melania, please praise this man. He needs you,” the singer mocked. “Your country needs you, Melania,” he added.
