While promoting her documentary in a red carpet event for the Berlin Film Festival, Hilary Clinton made an accusation that President Donald Trump is a “danger to democracy.”

Clinton remarked, “I will support the nominee of our party because I think that our current president is a clear and present danger to democracy and to our future.”

Her documentary had recently made headlines after she slammed Democratic front-runner, Senator Bernie Sanders. “Nobody likes him, nobody wants to work with him, he got nothing done. He was a career politician,” she said.

Moreover, Clinton was asked to comment on the conviction of former Hollywood producer and Democratic supporter Harvey Weinstein. “The jury’s verdict [in the Weinstein trial] really speaks for itself,” Clinton responded.

Weinstein was known to have large political influence and going all the way to support Democratic politicians. In fact, Weinstein had given $10,000 to Bill Clinton’s legal defense to fund the Monica Lewinsky scandal. He had also reportedly made a whopping $250,000 donation to the Clinton foundation. As News Media outlet Deadline reported: “Asked whether Weinstein’s donations to her presidential campaign meant that there could be more scrutiny placed on the sources of those donations in the future, Clinton pointed out that Weinstein had also donated to the Obama, Kerry, and Gore campaigns, and insisted, “I don’t know if that should chill anyone else from contributing to political campaigns, but it should end the kind of behavior that he was convicted for.”

Even former first lady Michelle Obama had also praised Weinstein in the past. In a resurfaced 2013 video, the former first lady Obama said, “I want to start by thanking Harvey Weinstein for organizing this amazing day.” “This is possible because of Harvey. He is a wonderful human being, a good friend and just a powerhouse. The fact that he and his team took the time to make this happen to all of you should say something not about at me or about this place, but about you. Everybody here, here because of you.”

Clinton also went on to thank director Nanette Burstein, the woman behind her documentary. “I’m really amazed at how they took all this material and turned it into a compelling film,” Clinton said. “It’s not just about my life, it’s about the arc of women’s lives, about our politics, about all the challenges that any person faces in a lifetime. I am grateful that I have had the life that I have had.”
