Actor Brad Pitt gave a politically charged speech during the 92nd Oscar Awards night. The actor went on stage and took the opportunity to speak out against Trump’s acquittal as well as John Bolton’s absence from the impeachment trial.

Pitt won the award for Best Supporting Actor in the film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood,” where he played an aging stuntman alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.

More than just being an awards night, it seemed that actors used the event as a political arena. Pitt traded his usual light-hearted jokes to take politically charged statements about Trump and the impeachment trial.

In his speech, the actor said: “They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week.”

Pitt added, “I’m thinking maybe Quentin does a movie about it and in the end the adults do the right thing,” as he cited the award-winning director Quentin Tarantino.”

However, Pitt did not also hold back during the interviews. After the event, a reporter asked, “Some unkind souls have suggested that you had a writer throughout the speeches this award season, say it ain’t so.”

Pitt responded, “Well, no, I’ve actually, historically I’ve always been really tentative about speeches, like, they make me nervous.”

The actor continued “So, this round I figured if we’re going to do this, like, put, like, some real work into it and try to get comfortable and, and this is a result of that. Um, no I definitely right them, I have some funny friends, I have some very, very funny friends that help me with some laughs but, but no it’s got to come from the heart.”

Another reporter asked as to whom Pitt referred to, “Tonight, you did have your political reference, what kind of prompted you to go that way?”

Pitt blatantly spoke out against Trump, “I was really disappointed with this week and I think when gamesmanship trumps doing the right thing, it’s a sad day and I don’t think we should let it slide and I’m very serious about that,” the actor said.

People did not also hold back to slam Pitt and his politics on social media.

As Fox News contributor, Tomi Lahren pointed out that, “Brad Pitt, ‘They told me I only have 45 seconds up here, which is 45 seconds more than the Senate gave John Bolton this week.’ Look, TDS and @realDonaldTrump have now made the Left cozy up to John Bolton. Their illness knows no bounds!”

Others also mocked the actor’s lack of understanding in politics. As Dana Loesch wrote, “Maybe in Quentin’s movie he’ll explore why House Dems didn’t call more relevant witnesses during their investigation.”

Larry Elder also replied to Loesch’s tweet, “Brad Pitt, winner of Best Supporting Actor…made a crack about John Bolton not testifying before the Senate during the Trump impeachment trial. Apparently, Pitt is unaware that Bolton has REFUSED to testify without a subpoena.”

Finally, British personality Piers Morgan nailed it in his post “Took 10 seconds for the first winner (Brad Pitt) to bash President Trump. Only surprised it took that long.

As always, this will help Trump not hurt him. #Oscars2020.”
