Transgender activist Jessica Yaniv was arrested and booked on assault charges last Wednesday for allegedly attacking Rebel News reporter Keenan Bexte outside a courthouse in British Columbia.

Yaniv was released from police custody, and is due to appear in court in February. She is facing up to five years for the assault charges.

Watch:

Yaniv made headlines after filing 16 human rights complaints against estheticians because they refused to wax her male genitalia. Yaniv accused them of transphobia after they told her the hair removal procedure was only for women.

Rebel Media creator Ezra Levant spoke with the Gateway Pundit about Yaniv’s erratic behavior and how the courts and police officers appear to be afraid of being labeled as “transphobic.”

“Yaniv is out of control, and the courts and police continue to cover for him. If this is how he abuses people when he knows cameras are rolling, one can only imagine what he does to those poor immigrant women he corners in their waxing salons,” said Levant. “He’s a bully, but only because the courts and cops are afraid of being called ‘transphobic.’ No single person, however, is doing more to discredit the trans political agenda than this predator, who is so obviously gaming the system.”

The same day of the alleged attack on Bexte, Yaniv accused a reporter of allegedly sexually assaulting her during the recess of her court case for two counts of possession of a prohibited weapon. The reporter denies Yaniv’s claims and is threatenging Yaniv with legal action if she does not publicly apologize and retract her defamation.
