AOC Tweets Support for Disgraced Former Congresswoman Katie Hill
Katie Hill, the former Democratic congresswoman from California wrote a New York Times opinion piece this weekend where she wrote about the depression she felt when she was forced to resign from congress following the revelations that she was in a “throuple” relationship with her husband and a young staffer.
My deeply personal story, out today in the @nytimes. Trigger warning: suicide (they don’t offer one in the paper.) https://t.co/wDTsJVPLTX

In the very long article, Hill claims she attempted suicide and also discusses a wide range of subjects including her accomplishments, her feelings, and she delivers major accusations about her husband being abusive. She also talks about her lawsuit against the Daily Mail for publishing censored nude pictures of her. She even gives AOC a shout out at the end saying, “Alex — ‘A.O.C.,’ as people like to call her — said I was a warrior and always would be.”
Never one to miss a chance to self-promote and broadcast a compliment of herself, AOC tweeted her support for Katie Hill saying, “No one should live in this kind of fear,” referencing Hill’s alleged abusive relationship and imploring everyone to “Read Katie’s story and understand the toll of abusive partners & cyber exploitation.”
“It wasn’t the first time I had tried to leave [my husband]; the last time... he made it clear to me that if I left, he would ruin me. So I went back.”
