As a “woman of the people”, Democratic presidential candidate Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) has been preaching about her modest roots on the campaign trail. One of her stock stories is that he children “both went to public schools”. However, when a woman confronted Warren on this claim, the story has now changed.

Following the confrontation and pictures emerging of her son from a private school year book in the 1980s, her campaign rereleased a statement clarifying, “Elizabeth’s daughter went to public school. Her son went to public school until 5th grade.” This, of course, implies that from 6th – 12th grade her son attended private school. This particular private school, the elite Kirby Hall School in Texas, costs around $17,000 a year today.

This is not the first time the socialist presidential hopeful has been caught in a lie. Famously, there is the fact that she either greatly exaggerated or outright lied about her Native American heritage to get preferential minority treatment in her professional life.

Also, another stump speech she has been using has recently been contradicted. She has said she was fired from a teaching job for becoming pregnant. Unearthed video show her telling an entirely different story in 2007. In that interview she said, “I went back to graduate school and took a couple of courses in education and said, ‘I don’t think this is going to work out for me.’ I was pregnant with my first baby, so I had a baby and stayed home for a couple of years.”
