The Most Memorable Jabs from the Democratic Debate
10 uninspiring Democratic presidential candidates took the stage to debate Wednesday night and provided yet another “debate” where everyone got very little talking time and spoke in canned one-liners. While most of their speeches were the usual left wing liberal talking points, they did do one thing that Republicans can appreciate; take shots at each other. Here are the most memorable digs from the debate.
Cory Booker is widely credited with having the line of the night asking Joe Biden if he was “high” when he said he did not want to legalize marijuana.
Cory Booker to Joe Biden: "This week I hear him literally say that I don’t think we should legalize marijuana. I thought you might have been high when you said it." #demdebate https://t.co/u9aiISXBvU pic.twitter.com/RUZ26t50WD

Kamala Harris took shots at Tulsi Gabbard for being not left wing enough to be a Democratic presidential candidate. She called the Hawaiian congresswoman a Fox News mouthpiece and accused her of “cozying up to Steve Bannon”.

Gabbard also got into it with South Bend, IN mayor Pete Buttigieg. She accused him of wanting to send U.S. troops to Mexico and he shot back “do you seriously think anyone on this stage is proposing invading Mexico?” He also took a shot back about her judgment in meeting with Syrian dictator Bashar al-Assad.
Tulsi Gabbard criticized Pete Buttigieg as inexperienced before he quickly returned the attack over her meeting with Bashar al Assad. “Let’s also talk about judgment,” he said. “I would not have sat down with a murderous dictator like that.” #DemDebate https://t.co/l8SRQ7wyuR pic.twitter.com/llGXEEoaYV

Finally, no one really needed to take digs at Joe Biden because he created plenty of awkward comedy himself. In describing his stance on violence against women, the embattled former VP unironically said that we need to keep “punching at” domestic violence which drew snickers from the crowd.
