Antifa Announces Strike of Public Transit Fare, Plans To Block Busses, Trains, and Break Machines
Antifa members have announced their organized strike against public transportation fare for Black Friday, November 29, 2019, in Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, New York City, and Chicago. They are telling their followers to “hop the turnstiles together, open the gates, sabotage the machines, intervene when cops or security harass others. Shut down the infrastructure of exploitation.”
On an Antifa website Itsgoingdown.org, they are also encouraging people to set up tables to “give out literature about why no one should have to pay, ever” and to set up a union of fare dodgers.
The website uses examples of protesters in Chile, Ecuador, Paris, Beirut, and Hong Kong who revolted against the rising cost of living, and how protesters in Ecuador occupied the parliament and caused the government to terminate their new austerity measures.
From Lebanon to Ecuador and Chile, movements against the rising cost of living have exploded into uprisings that are changing the world. Everyone knows that capitalism isn't benefitting us—we have to spread practices of resistance and become ungovernable.https://t.co/xxwthEiTPd pic.twitter.com/ncOAoBdJXb
