Netizens Applaud MMA Fighter Tara LaRosa For Pinning Down Aggressive Anti-Trump Protestor at Veterans Day Gathering
Mixed martial artist Tara LaRosa was forced to use her jiu jitsu skills to restrain an aggressive female protestor at a Veterans Day gathering in Portland, Oregon.
According to The Oregonian, the altercation happened in Northern Portland at an overpass where a group of people celebrating Veterans Day was approached by an angry female protestor, described as an “anti-Trump protester.” The woman, who claims to be a professor at the University of Portland, got into an argument with one of the women in the group. The Oregonian described the group as “right-wing demonstrators.” MMA Weekly noted that some members of the group were wearing Proud Boys insignia.
The professor allegedly attacked the other woman, prompting LaRosa to break up the scuffle and pin the professor down.
The angry professor told LaRosa, “You’re antagonizing the city I live in. Just let me breathe.”
La Rosa replied, “No, we’re not, we’re doing a flag wave. We’re not trying to fight.”
