Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has found herself in hot water yet again for making anti-Semitic statements on twitter. This time, the personally and politically controversial congresswoman took a shot a billionaire philanthropist Leon Cooperman and possible Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg.

CNBC reported Friday that Cooperman would throw his support behind his long-time friend Bloomberg. He told the liberal media outlet, “I’m a huge fan of Michael. I know him personally. It’s a breath of fresh air. Unless he changes his stripes, he will have my unequivocal support.”

In response the this, Omar took to twitter to imply that she was not surprised that Cooperman was supporting Bloomberg because both men are Jewish.

After being called out by social media users, the media, and many Jewish leaders, Omar walked back her tweet, trying to explain it away as an innocent shot at two billionaires. She quote tweeted two left wing pundits saying that people were twisting her anti-Semitic words. To this, the congresswoman simply said, “Yep.”
