Democratic presidential candidate Bernice Sanders (D-VT) vowed to make legalization of marijuana and other marijuana issues one of the top priorities he would tackle in his first 100-days in office.

In a plan released at the ironic time of 4:20pm, the left wing socialist candidate spelled out what his marijuana plan would look like in his first 100 days. The plan has 3 major points involved. First, he would legalize marijuana by executive order. Second, he would expunge all past marijuana convictions. Finally, he would “invest in communities most effected by the War on Drugs”.

In true Bernie fashion, he also made gruff remark about the current drug policies in America. The Senator tweeted about how our laws currently classify marijuana and heroin the same way adding, “That’s idiotic.”

The Senator explains these choices by saying, “It is time to admit the criminalization of marijuana was a disaster, especially for communities of color, and allow those most impacted to move forward with their lives.” The ultra-liberal Senator continued, “Our job now is to legalize marijuana and vacate and expunge past marijuana convictions, and ensure that revenue from legal marijuana is reinvested in communities hit hardest by the War on Drugs.”

Sanders, 78, currently sits 3rd in most polls behind the frontrunners Elizabeth Warren and Joe Biden. The Senator has recently returned to the campaign trail after suffering a heart attack.
