Embattled former Vice President and current Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden had some defiant words for President Trump in a campaign stop on Reno, NV. On Wednesday, President Trump called Biden and his son Hunter, “stone-cold crooks” for their shady dealing with an oil company and the government in the Ukraine while the elder Biden was Vice President.

In response to these comments by President Trump, Biden gave an impassioned speech on the campaign trail where he lashed out at the president. Biden said, “let me make something clear to Trump and his hatchet men and the special interests funding his attacks against me, I’m not going anywhere.” The defensive candidate continued, “you’re not going to destroy me. And you’re not going to destroy my family. I don’t care how much money you spend or how dirty the attacks get!”

The 76-year-old candidate is referencing the fallout from allegations that his son, Hunter, had an improper relationship with a Ukrainian oil company where he made millions of dollars in return for special access to the U.S. government via his father.

When Biden refers to “hatchet men and special interests” he is talking about people who want to investigate if Biden may have used his power as Vice President to get a Ukrainian prosecutor fired who was looking into the corruption between the Biden’s and the company in question, Burisma Holdings.
