Former Empire actor Jussie Smollett is lashing out at social media critics who are comparing the story of a 12-year-old girl in Virginia making up a hate crime to his similar transgressions earlier in the year.

After a sixth-grade girl in Virginia admitted that she lied about 3 white classmates holding her down and cutting off her dreadlocks in a reported hate crime, people on social media began to make the comparison to that and the Jussie Smollett situation that played out in Chicago.

A social media self-help personality, Derrick Jaxn posted about the story on Instagram saying, Jussie is really just a trendsetter”. Smollett did not like this comment and responded to the post, reasserting his disproven claim that he never lied about the phony hate crime he reported in January.

The failed actor’s post read, “With all due respect brother, y’all can clown me all you want but my story has actually never changed and I haven’t lied about a thing. Y’all can continue to be misinformed, internalized sheep, who believe what actual proven liars feed you or you can read the actual docs. Either way, Imma be alright. I know me and what happened. You don’t. So carry on. All love.”

This is all in response to Smollett’s January police report that made national headlines and drew support for the actor and condemnation of Trump supporters. Smollett claimed that two attackers who were wearing MAGA hats beat him, yelled homophobic slurs, poured bleach on him and put a noose around his neck.

It later emerged that the two attackers were friends of the actor whom he paid to beat him up so he could get the publicity attached to a President Trump-inspired “hate crime”. Many far left liberals were very vocal supporting the actor and denouncing Trump supporters. Only a handful though issued corrections and apologies after the claims were proven false. “Squad” member Rashida Tlaib is an example of someone who has supported both these false accusers and never bothered to retract anything after their claims were debunked.
