Swedish teenager and climate change activist Great Thunberg made an impassioned speech to the United Nations on Monday about her feelings on climate change. Afterwards, pundits from many media outlets weighted in on the speech. On Fox News, Laura Ingraham did a segment about the speech for her show, “The Ingraham Angle”. In the segment, she called the speech “chilling” and showed a clip of a similarly delivered speech from the 1984 Stephen King movie, “Children of the Corn”. She then joked that the sequel should be called, “Children of the Climate”.

This swiftly and predictably drew a barrage of outrage from the liberal “PC Police” on twitter who immediately began calling for the firing of the outspoken political commentator. The hashtag #firelauraingraham quickly started trending on the social media site. Many of the tweets calling for Ingraham’s firing contain incredibly hateful comments about the TV personality. Fox News has made no comment on the situation and there is no indication they will concede to social media pressure and take any action against their host.

Joining the pile on in condemning Ingraham was her older brother and frequent critic, Curtis Ingraham. This is not the first time Laura’s brother has called her out or questioned her parenting. Curtis is a well-known gay activist and has long been critical of his family, publically calling out his sister and saying in an interview that their father was a “Nazi sympathizer, racist, anti-Semite and homophobe”. His twitter account is full of attacks on the Republican Party and support of prominent liberals such as Ilhan Omar.
