NYC Art Gallery Owner Attacked for Wearing MAGA Hat
Jahangir Turan, a New York City art gallery owner, was assaulted by a group of 15-18 teens for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat on Tuesday. Turan was walking down Canal Street in Manhattan, passing a group of people when he was ambushed and then hit in the back of the head. It all became clear to Turan that he was attacked for wearing the hat when the teens started yelling “f**k Trump!”

Turan told reporters at press conference,“One girl flipped my hat, and within five to eight seconds, I got pushed from the back of my face, and my face hit the scaffolding pole. I got startled, I walked away.”
“This is America, you know? Everybody has their right. To wear a hat like this, this can happen to you. That’s sad,” Turan said. The 35-year-old suffered a fractured cheekbone and damage to his eye, and has decided to leave his MAGA hat at home from now on because “it’s dangerous to wear a hat like this in New York City.”
