Republicans in Congress have accused their Democratic counterparts of pushing for extreme measures that will flood the country with illegal immigrants, and they are doing that while exploiting the coronavirus crisis. Jim Jordan, who is a House Oversight Committee Ranking Member blasted the Democrats for advocating for drastic changes in the immigration policy under the guise of taking measures that would help to fight the pandemic. Jordan also praised the White House for not forgetting to enforce the rule of law while fighting a full-blown pandemic at the same time.

“We should not turn our back on the citizens and lawful immigrants of this great country to favor those that broke the law and came here illegally or overstayed their visas,” said Congressman Jordan, who is from Ohio. Jordan made the statements during a call with officials from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Those are the two agencies that are tasked with dealing with the illegal immigrant problem. The two agencies are under intense pressure to scale back on their operations against illegal immigrants during the pandemic under the guise of being humanitarian.

Democrats have also asked the Department of Homeland to freeze the deportation of illegal immigrants who have been caught. What is even more disturbing is the call for the release of all the detainees under ICE, which would include hardened criminals, with utter disregard for the safety of law-abiding Americans.

Democrats all over the country seem to be more concerned regarding the welfare of illegal immigrants who have broken American laws by sneaking into the country. For example, California Governor Gavin Newsom is paying $500 per person to the 150,000 illegal immigrants throughout the state. He is using taxpayer money to give cash to foreigners who are here to flood the market with cheap laborers taking away jobs from tax-paying Americans. Newsom is just the typical Democrat who is more concerned about the welfare of non-citizens while doing nothing for the actual taxpayers. Democrats in other parts of the country are also demanding financial support for illegal immigrants.

The Democrats have also filed the Leave No Taxpayer Behind Act, which, if it becomes law, would give illegal aliens the right to benefit from the CARES Act, which was meant for American citizens.
