Since October, U.S. Customs and Border Protection agents arrested dozens of convicted murderers, sex offenders, and violent gang members as they attempted to enter the United States illegally.

A total of 292 illegal aliens with prior criminal convictions were arrested by Border Patrol in the month of October. Agents encountered 307 who had outstanding warrants or were wanted by law enforcement.

“Every day, criminal aliens attempt to illegally enter the United States between the ports of entry, often concealing themselves among families or taking a role of a parent with a child during this humanitarian crisis,” said El Paso Border Patrol Sector Interim Chief Gloria Chavez. “The men and women of the U.S. Border Patrol are our first line of defense in identifying these criminals further protecting every city, county, and community across our nation.”

Remember when Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) said she wanted to do away with the Department of Homeland Security, which includes Customs and Border Protection and Immigration and Customs Enforcement?

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) criticized U.S. Customs and Border Protection and said she we should talk about “eliminating their existence.”

And let’s not forget how House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and other Democrats advised illegal immigrants to hide from ICE and resist deportation in July.

55 gang members affiliated with the Latin Kings, Ms-13, and other violent gangs were apprehended in the month of October.

Agents also arrested a convicted murder who tried to re-enter the U.S. near Carrizo Springs, Texas. Two other convicted murders were arrested in Rio Grande Valley within three days of each other.

Last week, border agents also arrested a previously deported sex offender who entered the U.S. illegally. Records show the man was convicted in California for continuous sexual abuse of a minor. The 54-year-old male was sentenced to 8 years in prison and was subsequently ordered removed from the U.S.

Agents arrested a convicted murder as he tried to re-enter the U.S. at the El Paso Sector.

On Friday, a tractor-trailer filled with 17 illegal aliens including minors were discovered at a checkpoint near Laredo, Texas. The driver drove off road to avoid being apprehended by Border Patrol agents. The people were sealed inside the trailer with no means of escape.
