Obama Warned South and Central Americans in 2014
A photo of a deceased man and his 2-year-old daughter who drowned as they tried to make it across the border to the United States is making its rounds in newspapers and social media. Of course, the Left blames President Trump for the crisis at the border after he has spent the last two years asking the Democrats for funding.
Five years ago, President Obama was praised by the media for being tough when he advised Central and South America migrants to cease sending their children to the United States. He also warned them to stop using them as pawns to get in. In 2014, Jackie Kucinich of the Washington Post and Oliver Knox of Yahoo News were interviewed by John King of CNN about the overwhelming number of children from Mexico and South America arriving at the southern borders. King began by defending former President Obama about his tough position on children trying to cross the border. “He’s been criticized by some Republicans saying, the reason more than 50,000 young kids have come to the border and tried to get into the United State illegally, sent by their parents from Guatemala and Honduras. Some Republicans are suggesting the President hasn’t been tough enough, ” King said. King then introduced a video clip by saying, “Listen to these tough words here.”
In the video, Obama explained, “Our message is absolutely, don’t send your children, unaccompanied, uh, on trains or through a bunch of smugglers. We don’t even know how many of these kids don’t may it and may have been waylayed into sex trafficking or killed because they fell off a train. We have no way of tracking that. So, that is our direct message to the families in Central America. Do not send your children to the borders. If they do make it, they’ll get sent back. More importantly, they may not make it.”
Jackie Kucinich attacked Trump’s administration for detaining children who illegally cross the border, but she defended Obama’s stance on illegal immigration.
The lede.

“A 2-year-old boy locked in detention wants to be held all the time. A few girls, ages 10 to 15, say they’ve been doing their best to feed and soothe the clingy toddler who was handed to them by a guard days ago.” https://t.co/uayFfNyWhc
Kucinich gives us a perfect example of her embarrassing hypocrisy as she retweeted Scott Bixby of Daily Beast who wrote about Trump repeatedly blaming Obama and the Democrats for the detention center’s dire conditions.
President Trump has repeatedly told advisers and senior aides that there is only one acceptable response to public outrage over the dire confitions in immigrant detention centers: blaming Democrats and Barack Obama.

Comedian Terrence Williams poked fun and amused his Twitter followers when he posted a clip of his humorous commentary on Obama’s tough stance on migrant children.
