Gunmaker Thanks Nike For Betsy Ross Flag Idea, Issues Limited Edition Gun With Same Flag
Gunmakers personally thanked Nike for the attention they brought to the original American flag sewed by Betsy Ross. Spotting the golden opportunity, gunmakers didn’t think twice before etching the original American flag on AR-15 parts.
Palmetto State Armory thanked Nike for bringing attention to the Betsy Ross flag by tweeting, “Just wanted to take a quick moment to thank @Nike for all the help. These things are selling like crazy. Reserve yours now!”

Nike recently pulled back from releasing their new Air Max 1 shoes with the Betsy Ross flag on the back, after Colin Kaepernick’s criticism that he and others feel the Betsy Ross flag is an offensive symbol because of its connection to an era of slavery.
While many are supporting Nike’s decision including presidential candidates Beto O’Rourke and Julian Castro, others have taken to social media to show their disgust like this former Marine.
