The White House has expressed confidence that the Senate Republicans will be able to fill the Supreme Court seat that has been vacated by Justice Ginsburg in just 37 days by successfully confirming the appointee of President Donald Trump. A Fox News reporter asked White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany if it is possible to finish the nomination process in 37-38 days, during the White House press briefing.

“We certainly believe we can,” McEnany answered confidently. “We believe we will get through the approval process quite quickly,” she added. She also promised that they would be picking someone who would stay true to the ideals of the constitution, someone who would interpret it as the Founding Fathers intended it.

McEnany then called on the Democrats to participate in a more civil confirmation process. It will be recalled that the Democrats turned the confirmation of Justice Brett Kavanaugh into a circus. They brought out a woman who accused Kavanaugh of harassment without any proof, with the incident supposedly happening decades earlier in the most improbable situation. Kavanaugh’s accuser was without credibility, and yet the Democrats treated her as if everything she was saying was the truth. To say that Kavanaugh went through hell because of what the Democrats did would be an understatement. They behaved in the most horrible way against Kavanaugh just so they can prevent another constitutionalist from getting into the Supreme Court.

McEnany also responded to the Democrats’ threat to just go ahead and add Justice seats in the Supreme Court. “That’s, unfortunately, another example of trying to blow up the system. If you don’t get your way, Democrats will blow up the system, they will change the system, they will trample on the Constitution,” she added, and that’s the truth.

The Democrats now are looking for ways to prevent the President from appointing a Supreme Court Justice, something that the constitution mandates the President to do. They have tried emotional blackmail by claiming that Justice Ginsburg’s dying wish was that she should not be replaced immediately. Now, they are just resorting to threats, saying that they would riot if the Republicans continue with the confirmation process.
