President Donald Trump led a highly successful celebration at Mount Rushmore on Friday, just ahead of Independence Day. The day was marked by a military flyover and an awe-inspiring fireworks display. That was the culmination of his efforts to have the fireworks display brought back to the national monument.

The celebration comes after several weeks that has seen American history and American heroes being attacked by leftist ideologues who want to erase American history and replace it with a narrative that fits with their view of history and their politics. But Trump is ready to fight them back, signifying that he is a strong patriotic leader who will not back down to the leftist mobs who are trying to hostage the whole country with their protests and their demands.

“I am here as your president to proclaim before the country, and before the world, this monument will never be desecrated. These heroes will never be defaced. Their legacy will never ever be destroyed, their achievements will never be forgotten, and Mount Rushmore will stand forever. As an eternal tribute to our forefathers, and to our freedom,” the President said during his speech which addressed the 3,700 that attended.

He criticized the leftist rioters who have been causing so much trouble in the country in the past few weeks. He accurately described their attacks as an attempt to erase American history and to destroy the American way of life. Many of the proponents of the leftist drive to destroy monuments are college-educated whites who have come to believe in communism despite living in a country that became wealthy through capitalism. The President said that their goal is not to get a better America but to end America.

The leftist media is already launching an attack at the celebration at Mount Rushmore. They are pointing out that few of the attendees are wearing masks or practicing social distancing. These are the same media outlets who have nothing but phrases for the Black Lives Matter rioters and looters who ignored social distancing too when they destroyed American cities.

The celebration is a personal victory for the President. He has long advocated for the return of the fireworks display as part of the celebration in Mount Rushmore.
