EU foreign affairs chief Josep Borrell, called the block to have a more “robust strategy” towards Communist China, and simultaneously declared the possible end to the “American led system.”

On Monday, Borrell declared that there had been signs that China might be replacing the United States as the next global superpower stating that, “analysts have long talked about the end of an American-led system and the arrival of an Asian century.” He added that China is taking over the world and that “this is now happening in front of our eyes.”

The foreign affairs chief claimed that the pandemic might have acted as the catalyst of a “power shift” from the United States to China and put pressure on the union to choose sides. Borrell even suggested that in an ultimate act of self-preservation, to break decades-long of western loyalty, and to “follow our own interests and values.”

However, Borrell also pointed out the glaring issues between the EU and Beijing, specifically in terms of “trust, transparency, and reciprocity.” He also noted that an upcoming EU-China summit should serve as the perfect opportunity to strike a deal. Borrell then concluded that “We need a more robust strategy for China,” as well as with the rest of “Democratic Asia.”

Moreover, German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas shared the foreign affairs chief’s concerns about China’s transparency, specifically during the initial stages of the Chinese virus outbreak.

Earlier, The Patriot Hill reported that Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi lashed out against the United States. The Foreign Minister claimed that the Trump administration had been infected by a “political virus,” and warning that the US’s actions against China might possibly lead to a “Cold War” between the two countries.

On Sunday, the White House hit back and continued to accuse China of its coronavirus cover-up. Donald Trump’s national security adviser, Robert O’Brien, spoke out against the communist regime. In fact, he believed that the cover-up would “go down” as the next “Chernobyl.”

As the US lists nearly 100,000 coronavirus-related deaths, O’Brien accused China of deflecting the blame for the spread of the Chinese virus, by providing the World health Organization (WHO) with “false information.” He continued to say that China’s deliberate cover-up had “cost” thousands of lives around the world. The White House aide also suggested that China might have been spying on the United States in hopes of developing a vaccine against the deadly coronavirus. In fact, O’Brien claimed that he would not be surprised if they do so since the communist country had a long history of stealing “American intellectual property” and even “knocking off American technology.”

Even Vice President Mike Pence condemned China’s action. In an interview with Breitbart News, Pence claimed that the communist regime had “let the world down” and that the WHO acted as their “willing partner.”
