In an interview on Fox News aired on Thursday, President Donald Trump said that he has a very good relationship with China’s President Xi Jinping, but he has also declared that “we could cut off the whole relationship” with the communist nation.

The President further said that if that happened, we would save $500 billion. “I said this for years; I said it with other countries also. China’s not the only country ripping us off. At NATO, where we defend Europe for nothing, by the way, essentially nothing, I was able to get them to pay hundreds of billions of dollars more.”

Then Trump added that China could have stopped the coronavirus pandemic at its source, if only they acted quickly. He also said that what happened was that the communist country did not allow foreigners to go into China but allowed people from China to go out to the world, including the US. “That’s why Europe is a mess. Look at these countries. Russia’s having a hard time. Everybody’s having a hard time.”

When asked about China’s response regarding inquiries about the spread of the COVID-19 virus from the US, the President told Maria Bartiromo of Fox News, “We asked to go over, and they said no. They didn’t want our help. And I figured that was OK because they must know what they are doing. So it was either stupidity, incompetence, or deliberate.”

While some countries are just starting to combat the deadly coronavirus, the United States is already getting toward its end.
