Just last month. Zhao Lijan, the spokesman for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, blamed the United States Army for the coronavirus. Today Lijian told reporters that Trump cutting funding to WHO “seriously undermines” the response to the pandemic.

According to Zhao, the director of the WHO (Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus - not a Medical Doctor) has done a great job. Zhao is quoted in saying that Ghebreyesus is “earnestly fulfilling its duties, upholding an objective, scientific and fair stance, and playing an important role in coordinating international efforts.” Beijing supporting Tedros comes on the heels of Congress, along with the general public, demanding for him to resign.

On multiple occasions, Tedros has urged the world to hail the efforts that China took to contain the virus within its borders. Tedros must not have access to the same data as the rest of the world that clearly shows that this outbreak started in Wuhan, China, and rapidly spread across the globe. In the initial stages of the outbreak, Tedros mimicked China’s false narrative that the virus was not spreading from human to human. To make matters worse, Tedros persuaded world leaders not to block the entry of travelers from China into their countries. Tedros dangerously ignored early memos provided by the government of Taiwan, warning about the magnitude of the outbreak. Tedros reason for ignoring - The WHO does not “recognize” Taiwan.

In typical communist fashion, Zhao asserted that the WHO “has won recognition and acclaim from all over the world,” under Tedros’ command.

“China will continue supporting the WHO in fulfilling its work and playing a leading role in global anti-pandemic cooperation,” Zhao promised, before advising Trump not to cut funding to the World Health Organization.

“As the COVID-19 [Chinese coronavirus] spreads rapidly across the world, the US ‘putting a hold on US funding to WHO’ will seriously undermine the organization’s normal functioning as well as international anti-pandemic cooperation,” Zhao stated. “We hope countries can work together, help each other amid difficulties, and jointly contribute to the global fight against the coronavirus.”

Just last month, Zhao enraged the world by accusing the United States Army of developing the coronavirus and then intentionally spreading it through Wuhan.

In typical Twitter fashion, the original tweet still remains. Twitter seems to be upholding its original promise that it refused to censor the Chinese Communist Party disinformation on their platform. A well known Chinese propaganda machine, the Global Times, surmised that the coronavirus was developed within the confines of a military base in Maryland. Zhao’s latest comments are a response to Trump considering cutting off funding to WHO for completely failing to do their job with the coronavirus.

Committee chair, Senator Lindsey Graham sides with Trump’s consideration during his television appearance on Tuesday.

“In the next appropriations bill, there’s not going to be any money for the WHO. I’m in charge of the appropriations subcommittee. I’m not going to support funding the WHO under its current leadership,” Graham. “They’ve been deceptive, they’ve been slow, and they’ve been Chinese apologists. I don’t think they’re a good investment, under the current leadership, for the United States.”

The United States of America injected over 14% of WHO’s funding for 2018-19. The US was the WHO’s single largest source of funds. The Second-largest just so happens to be the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Meanwhile, Communist China contributed a whopping 0.21% of the WHO’s funding last year.
