In his appearance on Fox News Channel, President Trump claimed he believes that “democratic socialist” Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) “would be tougher” to fight against the upcoming 2020 elections than former Vice-President “Sleepy Joe” Biden.

However, Trump said that “I don’t think I’m running against Bernie.” In his statement, Trump said, “I was ready for Bernie. Now all of a sudden it’s a whole different deal, two very different people. I think, in a certain way, Bernie would be tougher. Because he’s got a base. It’s a much smaller base than my base. …I was all set for Bernie. I was ready to go, then I say, you know, I don’t think I’m running against Bernie. I think it’s going to be very hard for him to come back.”

In fact, Trump had been all out to fight Sanders. The president said, “Because I thought it was going to happen. So mentally, I’m all set for Bernie. ‘Communist!’ I had everything down. ‘He’s a communist.”

In his tweet, the president said “The Democrat establishment came together and crushed Bernie Sanders, AGAIN! Even the fact that Elizabeth Warren stayed in the race was devastating to Bernie and allowed Sleepy Joe to unthinkably win Massachusetts. It was a perfect storm, with many good states remaining for.”

During his North Carolina rally, Trump had urged voters to choose Sanders in the “Super Tuesday” primaries. On Friday night, the president joked, “I assume this is okay from a campaign finance standpoint.” Then, Trump asked his supporters who were easier to beat for the upcoming 2020 presidential elections, “So who is easier for us? Not me. For us to beat. Ready? Crazy Bernie? Or sleepy Joe? I don’t know. I think maybe a crazy Bernie has it a little bit,” he said.

Trump also took the opportunity to bash former New York City Mayor Mike Bloomberg, who had since dropped out of the presidential bid. “Should we include Mini Mike or not?” Trump asked the crowd. They responded with a resounding “Nooooo!”

Trump added, “Mini Mike is gone. I think he’s gone. He doesn’t have a chance,” Trump said. “I hear Mini Mike, by the way, has left. He’s basically given up, that’s what I hear. He gave up. He gave up. I hope what I said keeps him in.”

Finally, Trump believed that the nomination is just between the two old men, “Really, we’re down to two candidates, right? Sleepy Joe Biden and Crazy Bernie. So this is a poll. I guarantee you this, as much as they hate me…they’re gonna put this all over the place. We have a poll of like 30,000 people.”

The President also tweeted: “I believe it will be Crazy Bernie Sanders vs. Sleepy Joe Biden as the two finalists to run against maybe the best Economy in the history of our Country (and MANY other great things)! I look forward to facing whoever it may be. May God Rest Their Soul!”
