An Indiana couple allegedly forced two teenage boys on bicycles off the road, according to Hobart police.

The reason the boys were targeted was because they had pro-Trump flags on their bikes.

The twin teens were riding their bicycles on a roadway when Cailyn Marie Smith, 18, and Kyren Gregory Perry-Jones, 23, driving a blue Chevrolet Malibu allegedly began following them, making threats, and proceeded to chase them off the road, last July.

The couple demanded the teenagers “pull that flag down.”

“Y’all scared, just like your president. America is not great, (expletive),” Smith said, which was recorded on a Snapchat video.

Last August, police got a search warrant for the Snapchat videos, and received the video content in November. The video of the incident helped Hobart police officers secure charges against the couple.

The Snapchat video showed the Malibu, driven by Perry-Jones, swerve their car towards the boys “as if he saw the boys and wanted to hit them with the vehicle” while yelling ‘Y’all better get home,’” according to court records.

Smith took the flag off the boy’s bike, so the boys chased them down to get it. After the teens threatened to call the police, Smith dropped the flag, but intentionally drove over it with their vehicle.

Perry-Jones allegedly threatened to beat the boys for calling 9-11. Perry-Jones was filmed saying if police asked him about it, he would say the boys called him a racial slur.

Perry-Jones and Smith were charged with two felony counts of intimidation and criminal recklessness, one count each of theft and criminal mischief on Thursday.
