House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) accused Attorney General Bill Barr of lying under oath. She warned Barr would be in for a tough hearing on March 31 when he testifies in front of the House Judiciary Committee.

“There is so much malfeasance with the people in the executive branch right now. We can point out the disrespect, the rule of law, for lying to congress, and that was really, really bad.” said Pelosi. “It’s not a good thing. It’s lying to the American people. It’s lying to the American people under oath. But our priorities are to do our jobs for the American people.”

Democrats have demanded for Barr’s resignation or impeachment. Pelosi added, “The president is what he is. He thinks he’s above the law. He has no respect for the rule, but where are the Republicans to speak out on this blatant violation of the rule of law.”

Watch:

Chairman Jerry Nadler(D-NY)and 22 other Democratic panel members sent a letter to Barr on Wednesday requesting him to appear on March 31.

They plan to question Barr about the Department of Justice’s decision to overrule and propse a reduction in Roger Stone’s sentencing. The Dems will Barr ask about the DOJ’s involvement with Rudy Giuliani the U.S. Attorney Jessie Liu’s release, Trump’s deputy campaign chairman Rick Gates, and former national security adviser Michael Flynn.

Barr agreed to testify before the House Judiciary Committee in March.
