During Tuesday’s impeachment hearing, Rep. Jim Jordan flat out told Chairman Adam Schiff, “You have said, even though no one believes you, you have said you don’t know who the whistleblower is.”

Rep. Jim Jordan tried to question Lt. Col. Alexander Vindman about who he discussed President Trump’s phone call with – the call Trump made to Ukrainian President Zelensky on July 25 that started the impeachment inquiry by the Democrats against Trump.

Rep. Jordan asked Vindman, “I want to know, first, how many other people are in that group of people you communicated with.”

Vindman replied, “I only read out, outside of the NSC, two individuals.” Vindman noted that one of the two people was the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian affairs, George Kent.

Rep. Jordan asked Vindman, “And you’re not willing to tell us who that other individual is?” But was interjected by Chairman Adam Schiff with point of order.

“You know, as I indicated before, this committee will not be used to out the whistleblower,” said Schiff.

“I don’t see how this is outing the whistleblower,” Rep. Jordan responded to Schiff. “The witness has testified in his deposition that he doesn’t know who the whistleblower is. You have said, even though no one believes you, you have said you don’t know who the whistleblower is.”

“So, how is this outing the whistleblower to find out who this individual is?” Rep. Jordan added.

Watch:

Many Republicans including President Trump have demanded the name of the whistleblower and many of them believe it is Eric Ciaramella, a CIA analyst and former National Security Council staffer.
