Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer made an announcement Tuesday that was calculated to please far-leftist all over the country. Fischer said that he had issued an executive order declaring that racism is a “public health crisis.” The executive order does not make any sense at all. It aims to address public safety and health and the unemployment rate among Black residents of the city. However, the mayor has yet to clear up how unemployment is a public health crisis.

The city of Louisville has been dealing with rioting and looting after the death of Breonna Taylor back in March has been used by Black Lives Matter, Antifa, and other left-wing groups as an excuse to protest in the streets.

“For too many Louisvillians, racism is a fact of daily life, a fact that was created and documented in our country’s laws and institutional policies like segregation, redlining, and urban renewal,” Fischer said during a press briefing.

“Laws and policies that restrict the freedom of all Americans to exercise their constitutional rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness,” he added. “Laws and policies that can restrict where people live, what schools they attend, and what jobs they can get. And laws and policies that effectively limit the wealth they can earn and pass on to their children.”

Fischer is not the first Democrat to declare racism to be a public health issue. Representatives Ayanna Pressley and Barbara Lee together with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who incidentally has pretended to be a Native American for decades in order to get opportunities that otherwise would not be available to her, introduced the Anti-Racism in Public Health Act which does the same thing.

Other Democrat officials, in turn, have toyed with the idea of reparations. The mayor of Providence, for example, has called for a “truth-telling and reparations process” by signing an executive order back in July. Although it is unclear what form the reparation will take on.

Should Biden become president, it is all but certain that more democrat officials would be making similar moves. It does not matter to them if their orders are against the Constitution.
