In an interview with New York Times T style magazine, Hollywood singer and actress Barbra Streisand claimed that one of the things she hated about President Donald Trump is that he lies daily.

During the interview, Streisand was asked about the things that she hated most about the present administration. “He lies every day,” the actress told the media outlet. She continued, “He has the compulsion to lie, even when the facts say something different. The worst lie was about the pandemic.” She also questioned why Trump failed to provide the American people with facts that could have probably saved “thousands of lives.” The actress blasted the President’s response saying that the American people are strong enough to handle the truth.

Streisand was referring to a book that was published by journalist Bob Woodward. In his tell-all book, Woodward cited that the President recognized that the threat of the COVID-19 virus could be potentially deadly. However, Trump defended his decision, arguing that he did not want to cause even more panic.

Like most Democrats, this is not the first time the Hollywood star had accused Trump of being responsible for the thousands of deaths resulting from the COVID-19 virus. Last October, Streisand responded to Trump’s message in which he urged Americans not to worry about the COVID-19 virus. The actress challenged the President noting that it was a “stupid thing,” especially since over two hundred thousand people died from the virus.

In another social media post, Streisand accused the President of being a “serial liar.” She also went on to say that Trump is “‘unfit” and “incompetent” to lead the nation in times of a crisis.

Moreover, Streisand shared her excitement for former Vice-President Biden to take over the White House. In the interview, the actress claimed that she was “exhilarated” about the prospect that Biden will soon become the country’s next President. She believed that the former Obama admin official will restore “dignity,” “honesty,” “compassion,” and “intelligence” at the Oval office.

She also shared that she had personally reached out to George Floyd’s daughter. Streisand claims that she also shared with the 6-year old Gianna how she had also lost her own father at a young age.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi also went on to Praise Streisand for the article. Pelosi noted that the actress was brave enough to share her opinions, despite the fact that she might risk a “backlash” from her supporters.
