As the holiday season begins, Hollywood is set to release several heartwarming Christmas films. However, gone are the day’s light-hearted storyline because this year’s Christmas movies are all about being political.

One of the recent Holiday releases starred Democratic supporter, Alyssa Milano. The film primarily centers around the issue of immigration and even goes out to call the U.S.-Mexico border an “imaginary line.”

In the film entitled “You Are My Home”, Milano takes in a young immigrant girl who went homeless, after her mother, an illegal immigrant, was deported back to Mexico. The story then centers around the injustice of the country’s immigration policy and how it breaks relationships between parents and children.

In one of the scenes. Milano’scharacter suggested that anyone who forcefully takes a child from their parents should be considered an “abduction.” Her character also stood by the fact that the young girl, named Alexandra is an “American.” Another character screamed, “Her mom was taken away for no other reason than not having the right paperwork to be on the wrong side of an imaginary line!”

The film will be available for streaming on Netflix this holiday season. Milano, who stood as a staunch Biden supporter also produced the film and had promoted using the hashtag #FamiliesBelongTogether.

This is not the first time the actress used her fame to advance her own political agenda. This month, Milano and other celebrities such as Noam Chomsky and Lily Wachowski demanded the President immediately leave the White House. Milano and her friends had signed an advertisement which was published in the New York Times,

In 2019, Milano uploaded a Twitter video in which she advocated for an open-border policy. The actress even went on to describe the border as a mere “line in the sand.” In addition, she had also accused the U.S. border patrol officers of destroying families to enforce immigration policies.

Recently, the actress made headlines after she defended former Vice-President Joe Biden against his staff, Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegations. This stood as a great contrast to her previous statements claiming that every woman who comes forward with a sexual assault allegation deserved to be believed.
