On Saturday, radical Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez declared that 16-year-old Kyle Rittenhouse serves as a perfect example of “law and disorder.”

AOC responded to the news that Rittenhouse was released on a $2 million bond. In a social media post, the Democrat accused authorities of giving the 16-year-old special treatment. In her tweet, Ocasio-Cortez argued that if Rittenhouse were a Muslim, and would have done the same thing, the results would be different. “For people who say ‘systemic racism doesn’t exist,’ this is what it looks like: protection of white supremacy baked deep into our carceral systems,” the lawmaker blasted. She added the words, “Law and disorder.”

The lawmaker also referred to the “Defund the Police” movement which she had strongly advocated. AOC claimed that oftentimes, people will argue about the consequences of defunding the police, including a possible surge in violence. However, the lawmaker believed that people who think like this, are also the ones who failed to acknowledge that the country had made a system that is meant for the privileged.

On Friday, Rittenhouse was released on a $2 million bond following the violent incident of August 25th. During the height of the Black lives Matter riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin, the 16-year-old aspiring policeman traveled across state lines armed with an AR-15 rifle with the intent to defend local businesses that were destroyed by the riots. Unfortunately, Rittenhouse shot Anthony Huber and Joseph Rosenbaum. Overall, Rittenhouse shot three people, in which two died from their injuries.

In an interview with SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Sunday, Rittenhouse’s attorney, L. Lin Wood explained that his client only shot the victims after he was chased by a group of attackers who wanted him dead. He continued that the group started striking and wrestling Rittenhouse with the intention of killing him. Thus, his client had no other choice but to fire the weapon in self-defense. His Attorney concluded that they absolutely believe the argument and remain confident that they can prove this in court.

Finally, Wood thanked those who helped Rittenhouse to raise the bail money. According to reports, actor Ricky Schroder and My Pillow CEO Mike Lindell pooled in to help the 17-year-old out bail.

Moreover, just this month, a man identified as 19-year-old Dominick Black was also arrested for allegedly selling the AR-15 rifle that Rittenhouse used in the shootings. While Black was arrested, the state of Illinois in which the alleged purchase was made refused to press any charges against Rittenhouse, claiming that they do not have enough evidence to prove that the sale was indeed made within Illinois.
