More Democrat governors are joining California governor Gavin Newsom and are turning into anti-vaxxers. Newsom announced a few weeks ago that he would not distribute the vaccines that have been created by the federal government. His main reason for doing so is because the vaccine was approved by President Donald Trump and so, he is actually willing to risk the health and safety of the residents of his state to score politically.

Now, there are three additional governors who are joining him, saying that they would also prioritize politics over the health and safety of the people and not distribute the vaccine from the federal government.

Any vaccine that would be rolled out by the Trump administration would have to be approved by the Food and Drug Administration, which has experts and scientists who would be checking the vaccine and make sure that it is safe and healthy for use by everyone. So, Newsom and his fellow Democrat governors are going against the expert knowledge of scientists and researchers.

“A question I often get is: Are you going to take someone’s word for it as it relates to vaccines?” Newsom said during a press conference. “Of course we don’t take anyone’s word for it. We will do our own independently reviewed process with our world-class experts,” he added.

Three more governors, namely Katie Brown of Oregon, Jay Inslee of Washington, and Steve Sisolak of Nevada, have decided to use the vaccine question as a political tool that they can use against President Donald Trump. They are willing to hold the residents of their states hostage so that they can find some kind of leverage against the President. They have formed a sort of alliance that is largely symbolic to share strategies on how to fight the pandemic while refusing the vaccine.

Other governors are reportedly planning on joining them with their stance against the vaccine. Governor Cuomo of New York who is a well-known anti-Trump politician is reportedly planning on the same move.
