On Tuesday, Hollywood pop star Cher shared another Dem conspiracy theory by saying that President Donald Trump plans to do anything in his power to steal and win the upcoming 2020 general elections.

In an almost bizarre and incomprehensible Twitter post, Cher warned American voters to secure their absentee ballot ahead of the November 3 elections. She also urged Americans to deliver their absentee ballots in the drop off boxes or vote in person as a way to protect the integrity of the ballot. In her post, the singer also described the U.S. Postmaster General Louis DeJoy as “donor in charge” and accused him of rigging the election by deliberately slowing down mail deliveries to prevent the ballots from arriving on the election day. “Trump donor is in charge of the post office, so [it is] too late to mail you ballot.”

Cher then incited a conspiracy theory by saying that “Trump is doing anything to steal the election.” She also urged Americans to “Vote, your life depends on it.”

The pop star’s new statements came in contrast to the tune that most Democratic politicians had before the elections. In fact, key Democratic figures such as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez had advocated for a nationwide mail-in vote system. A move that the President strongly goes against, in fears that it might damage the elections’ integrity. In his statements, the President even called out a nationwide vote-in mal system as a “scam.” Other states also shared the same sentiment, such as Wisconsin, after the Supreme Court had struck down petitions to extend ballots counting after the election day. Other states such as Pennsylvania also ordered voters to provide a “secrecy envelope” to protect the ballot’s integrity.

The move is especially crucial since a lot of voters had decided to vote early. In fact, just a week before the election, 66 million Americans had already cast their votes, surpassing the number of voter-turnout during the 2016 elections. In addition, a majority of voters in certain states had already made their vote. For example, in Texas, approximately 87 percent of registered voters have already submitted their ballots. At the same time, states such as Georgia, Florida, and Arizona already recorded more than 60 percent of the registered voters.

According to Axios, the Democratic Party’s strategy to encourage absentee and mail-in ballot voting might have backfired and cost them the elections. In an article for the left-wing media outlet, The New York Times, writer Thomas Edsall already warned left-wing supporters that mail-in ballots have higher chances of being rejected or subjected to loss and error.

This is not the first time that Cher has criticized the administration over the nationwide vote-in mail system. Back in August, the Hollywood pop star publicly volunteered at a Malibu post office, an offer that the U.S. Postal services had rejected.
