On Monday, Hollywood actress Sharon Stone urged women in Florida to help elect Democratic Vice-Presidential nominee, Sen. Kamala Harris, in the White House, with a promise that Harris “will save your families’ lives.”

The actress took on Instagram to campaign for the Democrat. Stone began by praising all the positive qualities that she had loved about the state. “Dear women of Florida, hi! I’ve come to visit your state since I was a teenager, the sun, the music!!, the Keys!” Stone continued by saying that she also hosted several advocacy projects for the state, including raising money for battered women. Moreover, the left-wing supporter also attempted to appeal to female voters by praising them for their resilience, bravery, intelligence, and even adding that they could also be “sexy” and “bold” if they wanted to.

Then, Stone, who claimed that she had worked as an “infectious disease worker,” went on to express her concern on the growing number of coronavirus cases in Florida. She cited that for a long time, she had helped local residents in the state to recover from HIV/AIDS. With her experience, Stone urged Florida women to trust her in believing that she knows best. “As a mom, a woman, and someone who SEES you, I urge you to believe me when I say trust is why voting for a woman in the White House will save your families’ lives.”

However, social media pundits were quick to point out the error in the actress’ statement. One social media user suggested that Stone believed that Democratic nominee Joe Biden would be replaced by Harris. Another responded to her Instagram post that it is the President and not the Vice President who will occupy the White House. In fact, the user clarified that if Harris wins, she will live in a house near One Observatory Circle.

A user also cited that as a mother, she would vote for someone who would really care for her family, and not a nominee that would allow child murderers to roam free. The user then questioned whether Stone was really voting for the protection of American families or whether she was just voting because of her political affiliations, “Are you choosing by policy or party?”

Previously, Stone had also lashed out against the Trump administration after her sister was rushed to the hospital due to COVID-19. In an Instagram video, the actress believed that the only way for things to change in the country is if Americans would vote for Biden-Harris. In the footage, she encouraged her fans to fight for the people to live and get tested. In fact, the actress declared that the only countries able to handle the pandemic are those who had women in leadership.

She also criticized Republican protesters who rushed to the courthouse to demand the country’s economic re-opening. Stone even specifically mentioned Montana Gov. Steve Bullock, who refused to answer or respond to her calls. “There’s nothing but lies,” the actress concluded.
