In Tuesday’s interview with Milwaukee’s WISN 12 News, Democratic nominee Joe Biden continued to deny Hunter’s dubious deals with foreign interests. Instead, the Presidential candidate claimed that the allegations were only a part of a “desperate campaign to smear me and my family.”

The allegations stemmed from reports made by Republican Senate Homeland Security Committee Chairman Sen. Ron Johnson. The GOP politician claimed that based on federal investigations, Biden’s son, Hunter, along with other family members, profited from the former Vice President’s position in the Obama administration. In the interview, journalist Adrienne Pedersen asked the nominee to address the issue that the federal officials had made. Pedersen added, whether there might be a sense of legitimacy to Johnson’s claims. Biden responded with a resounding no. “None whatsoever. This is the same garbage Rudy Giuliani, Trump’s henchman—it’s the last-ditch effort in this desperate campaign to smear me and my family,” the nominee declared. He added that other claims made by federal intelligence officers have no basis at all. In fact, he believed that these people should be ashamed of themselves.

However, media outlets continued to demand Biden to clarify the allegations of “influence-peddling” and his business deals with foreign interests, including China. In an op-ed posted by the Wall Street Journal editorial board, the editors cited the bombshell report from the New York Post. The article cites that Hunter was trying to find lucrative business deals with CEFC China Energy Co. and that in turn, Joe Biden would receive a 10% share.

In the said article, The Post shared an email screenshot of Burisma executives who thanked Hunter for setting them up with the then-Vice President.

According to the media outlet, they were able to retrieve the email from Hunter’s hard drive. The Post wrote that in 2019, the younger Biden dropped off his laptop from a local repair shop in Wilmington, Delaware, after being subjected to an FBI investigation. At that time, Biden claimed that his laptop was broken due to “water damage.” Fortunately, the technician was able to retrieve the information, which was later obtained by the Post.

In another report from Breitbart News, the media outlet confirmed the allegations after Hunter’s former business partner, Bevan Cooney, turned over 26,000 emails from the younger Biden. Based on the exchange, the media outlet reported that Hunter launched “China Inc.,” a soft diplomacy plan to lure Chinese investors into lucrative deals, in exchange for favors from the Obama administration.

This is not the first time that Biden tried to dodge the allegations. In a recent report from The Patriot Hill, the media outlet claimed that Biden walked out after a reporter asked him about Hunter’s FBI investigation.
