In a report from Ben Smith, a journalist from the New York Times, the writer revealed that the country’s top media establishments NYT, Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times have all colluded to update President Donald Trump’s obituary following his announcement of a COVID-19 diagnosis.

Smith confirmed that representatives from the said media outlets such as March Fisher for WaPo, Mark Z. Barabak for the Los Angeles Times, and Pete Baker for NYT were assigned to update the President’s obituary in the event of his unlikely death. In the article entitled “How to Cover for a Sick Old Man,” Smith wrote, “It’s hard not to feel some human revulsion for the sight of healthy, TV-ready young journalists braying for the vital signs of a sick old man.”

The NYT reporter also noted that the journalists who were at the Walter Reed Military Hospital were already openly considering options and possibilities of who would step in charge of the government, in the case where the President is unable to recover from the COVID-19 virus, especially since the country is approaching the elections.

In a statement from Dr. Mark Fisher, a professor of both neurology and political science at the University of California, he urged reporters to ask specific questions about the President’s health condition including his blood pressure, heart rhythm, sleep disorders, and other precise health questions. He noted, “A robust fund of knowledge by the reporter is a great advantage.”

Fortunately, the media establishment’s preparation seemed futile after White House physician, Sean Conley, D.O, assured that the president was in a stable condition. The White House physician cited that the President had already completed his second dose of COVID-19 emergency drug, Remdesivir, and had shown no signs of complications. Conley also touted that the President remains fever free, and while his initial oxygen level dipped, POTUS was able to bounce back and maintain a saturation level between 96 to 98 percent.

On Saturday, the President also quelled rumors that he is in a precarious health condition. In a video that was posted on social media, Trump admitted that he was feeling unwell on Friday night. However, as his condition stabilized, the President remained dedicated to immediately go back to the White House to resume work. He also dropped hints that he might give out a surprise to the MAGA supporters who held a vigil outside of the hospital.

By Sunday, the president was well enough to make a surprise drive-by to his supporters. Trump waved at the Republican supporters who held a “Get Well” rally, while the crowd cheered back.
