On Monday, the Washington Post’s editorial board made an endorsement for former Vice President and Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, stating that the Democrat would be the right person to replace President Donald Trump.

In a news article, WaPo described Trump as the “worst president of modern time.” The media outlet claimed that the American people were so eager to vote Trump out of the White House, they were willing to vote anyone. However, WaPo claimed that fortunately, Americans do not have to lower their standards in the upcoming November 3 elections.

The media outlet also praised Biden, citing that “the Democratic nominee, former vice president Joe Biden, is exceptionally well-qualified, by character and experience, to meet the daunting challenges that the nation will face over the coming four years.” While they have dedicated a few sentences to praise the nominee, the rest of WaPo’s editorial was criticizing the president, citing him as a “negative example for the country.” The editorial board also lamented Trump’s seeming lack of respect and empathy.

To prove their point the board also undermined the administration’s success. In fact, the editorial team claimed that Trump had “very few accomplishments’ during his first term in the office and assured that his second term would be no different. The media outlet’s growing disdain against Trump had become more palpable, especially since WaPo’s endorsement came a week after they have published an opinion piece that questions whether the President is an “agent of Russia.” The move was said to revive rumors about allegations of Russian interference.

In addition, it is also important to note that the media outlet is currently owned by a left-wing supporter and billionaire Jeff Bezos. It is important to note that Bezos had given large sums of cash for Biden’s campaign. In fact, the billionaire had shelled out $700,000 to the Democrat’s campaign.

While WaPo continued to allege that Trump held strong ties with Russia, another left-wing media outlet, The New York Times failed to provide evidence to support years of an allegation that the country had anything to do with Trump’s win. In an article, The NYT released Trump’s tax returns to find any information that might link the President to Russia.

However, it is anyone who had ties with Russia that would be the Democratic nominee. Just last week, reports swirled that Biden’s son, Hunter received a whopping $3.5 million t from Yelena Baturina, a Russian oligarch, as a part of their dubious “consultancy agreement.”
