Jill Biden’s first husband finally spoke after decades of silence as he announced that he would be voting for President Trump and claimed that Joe and Jill Biden’s love story was a lie. Bill Stevenson gave an exclusive interview to Inside Edition during which he claimed that the story that Joe and Jill have been telling on how they had met is a lie. “I was betrayed by the Bidens. Joe was my friend. Jill was my wife,” Stevenson revealed.

According to the Bidens, they first met during a blind date in March 1975. Joe supposedly saw a picture of Jill on an ad. Joe then claims that his brother Frank introduced Joe to Jill. Frank supposedly knew Jill from college. The story was like a modern fairy tale. It was ideal but if Stevenson is going to be believed, things were a lot different. The story was not true at all according to Stevenson.

“Jill and I met on the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey, in August of 1969. Sure I fell in love with her because I married her six months later,” claims Stevenson. He also said that he was actually the one who introduced the two. He revealed that he was actually friends with Joe Biden and “not only that, I threw a fundraiser for him in August and raised between $2,500 and $3,000. We got married in ’70. I introduced Joe to Jill in ’72. Right before the election in ’72, Jill, Joe, Neilia, and I were in his kitchen. How do you forget that?” That would mean three years before the supposed blind date that Joe and Jill had.

The Biden camp is denying the claims, dismissing them as mere promotional stunts to sell his book, which he is thinking of publishing. “These claims are fictitious, seemingly to sell and promote a book,” a spokesperson for Jill Biden told Inside Edition. “The relationship of Joe and Jill Biden is well documented. Jill Biden separated from her first husband irreconcilably in the fall of 1974 and moved out of their marital home. Joe and Jill Biden had their first date in March of 1975 and they married in June of 1977.”

Stevenson was convicted of federal fraud charges and so he may not be the most reliable person to accuse Biden, but the former vice president does have a history of lying. For example, he has attempted to make exaggerated claims regarding his academic performance in the past.
