The left has been quick to react to President Donald Trump’s latest Executive Order, calling it a bunch of names and even accusing it of being “unconstitutional.”

On Saturday, President Trump signed his latest Executive Order for a payroll tax holiday, which would apply to Americans earning less than $100,000 a year. The president also made a promise that if he wins in November that he would forgive those taxes altogether and that he would make permanent cuts to the payroll tax. “The very important thing is that people want it, and the people need it, actually,” Trump said, adding, “Biden probably won’t be doing that. You’ll have to ask him. I don’t think he knows what he’s doing,” which earned cheers and laughter from his supporters.

However, as expected, the Democrats are not happy about the new Executive Order, starting with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who claims that the order was just an “unconstitutional slop.” During an appearance on CNN’s State of the Union on Sunday, Pelosi quoted Republican Nebraska Sen. Ben Sasse, who harshly criticized Trump’s Executive Order, saying, “The pen-and-phone theory of executive lawmaking is unconstitutional slop. President Obama did not have the power to unilaterally rewrite immigration law with DACA, and President Trump does not have the power to unilaterally rewrite the payroll tax law.”

The show’s host, Dana Bash asked Pelosi about her take on the president’s order to which Pelosi responded, “I associate my remarks with what the senator says, they’re ‘unconstitutional slop.’ Right now, we want to address the needs of the American people. As my constitutional advisers tell me, they’re absurdly unconstitutional.”

Also, on the same show on the same day, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D-NY) was interviewed over the phone by Dana Bash. The host said that the New York governor is slamming Trump’s executive order, calling them “laughable” and questioning its legality. Cuomo expounded, saying, “The concept of saying to states, you pay 25% of the unemployment insurance is just laughable. The whole issue here was getting states funding, state, and local funding. You can’t now say to states, who have no funding, and you have to pay 25% of the unemployment insurance costs.”

The criticism doesn’t end there as former failed Democratic presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton also had something to say regarding Trump’s orders. Appearing on MSNBC on Sunday, Clinton accused Trump’s executive actions as a “stunt.”

“It’s a stunt. There’s no doubt about it. Most likely, as even Republican senators have said, unconstitutional, bypassing Congress, trying to spend money, he has no authority to direct. But it’s also meant to be a big diversion from the hard work the Congress should be engaged in to provide the kind of relief that tens of millions of Americans need,” Clinton claimed. Then she added that the president is going after Social Security and Medicare, saying that his actions will “hurt not just elderly Americans but every American.”
