In his latest attempt to pander to the far-left, Joe Biden seems to suggest that American society is still steeped in racism. In delivering his Fourth of July address to Americans, presidential candidate Joe Biden urged Americans to pull “out the roots of systemic racism.”

Starting his address, Biden quoted the Declaration of Independence. His argument is that the whole of Independence Day should not be celebrated at all. He insulted the Declaration of Independence along with the founding fathers who worked hard to make America free.

“Our country was founded on an idea. We never lived up to it. Jefferson himself didn’t. He held slaves. Women were excluded. But once proposed, it was an idea that couldn’t be contained,” the former vice president said. He continued that American history has not been a fairy tale and that the country has been torn between racism and living up to the ideals of independence.

The address was so different from that of President Donald Trump who spoke at Mount Rushmore. The President criticized the protestors who have been attacking the monuments and the symbols of America. Trump appeared ready to take on those who are trying to destroy American heritage by toppling statues and monuments. Biden did not address any of those during his speech. There was no condemnation of the people who have been desecrating monuments and flags. Instead, he just accuses the country of being racist to pander to the leftists. He spouts the myth of systemic racism being the reason why people of color are not given the same opportunity in the country.

The Democrats have not condemned any of the actions taken by the far-left in recent weeks. They have not condemned the violence that the protestors have committed. Instead, they have focused on attacking the people who have been protesting against the lockdown measures. They are joined by the mainstream media which has provided positive coverage to the rioters and looters on the left.
