On Monday, far-left politician, Rep. Ilhan Omar claimed that even though she believes in Tara Reade’s sexual assault allegation against presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, she will continue to vote for the nominee in the upcoming 2020 presidential elections

Omar responded to a Biden supporter who wrote that they do not admire the lawmaker’s questionable loyalty, believing that her statements against the Democratic nominee were “irresponsible.”

The far-left politician responded, “Believing survivors is consistent with my values.” She also addressed issues of a growing division in the Democratic party and reaffirmed her support for Biden, “Yes, I endorsed against Biden, and I didn’t pick him as our nominee. With that said, in this interview I did on May 6th, we talked about that, and quotes aren’t always in context.” Omar then concluded that ultimately, what matters most is to bring down President Donald Trump, “I will vote for him and help him defeat Trump.”

The controversial politician immediately addressed issues after her interview with a British media outlet, Sunday Times broke out. During the interview, Omar admitted that she believed in Tara Reade’s 1993 sexual assault allegations against then-Senator Joe Biden. “I do believe Reade,” she said. She continued that, like any sexual assault victim, Reade should never be “denied” of justice. The British media outlet even cited that if it was up to the Minnesota lawmaker, she would not choose Biden as a Democratic nominee.

The Patriot Hill also reported that Omar’s close ally and fellow far-left politician, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, revealed that there had been evidence to “corroborate” Reade’s allegation. AOC believed that the sexual assault allegation “is not clear cut” and acknowledged that it might have possibly happened. Both Omar and AOC have aired their support for failed Democratic candidate, Sen. Bernie Sanders.

Other Democratic supporters have also acknowledged that while Reade’s accusations should not be immediately dismissed, they will still continue to vote for Biden. In a New York Times op-ed, Author Linda Hirshman claimed that Democrats have “indicated” that they will continue to support Biden as the “transaction” cost of his replacement will ultimately be “suicidal” for the Dems. Hirshman hypocritically wrote, “the Democrats he may carry with him into government, are likely to do more good for women and the nation than his competition, the worst president in the history of the Republic.” The progressive media outlet claimed that dismissing one sexual assault allegations for the common good will all be “worth it.”

Some social media pundits thanked Omar for reaffirming her loyalty to the Democratic party. Even the Biden supporter who lashed out against her shared their relief.

However, others refused to be blindsided by the glaring hypocrisy of the Democratic party. One user even brought up the criminal charges against Omar.

While another user blatantly called her a “hypocrite.”

Others have called out the special treatment that members of the Democratic party gave out to their leaders.

Others called into question how Omar could support someone whom she suspected of criminal activity.
