Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee pushed back against criticisms aimed at former Vice President and Presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden, after his “you ain’t black” racist remark.

In an interview for Fox News with anchor Bret Baier, Lee refused to acknowledge Biden’s arrogant statements. During the show, Baier asked Lee if African Americans who chose to support President Donald Trump made them less black. The show’s host then went on to cite the achievements the administration had done for the African American community, including historically low African American employment, support for historically black colleges, and massive prison and justice reform.

Lee responded, “I don’t believe anyone who saw that exchange would in any way suggest that anyone is blacker, blackest, or less black.” She added that it was not Biden’s intention to sound racist and that the Democratic nominee could have spoken it in a “better way.”

However, Baier was having none of the glaring Democratic cover-ups. Baier ended the segment by saying that Biden had already acknowledged his racist remarks and that he had apologized for such actions.

Biden’s controversial exchange took place in a recent interview for “The Breakfast Club,” with one of the show’s co-host Charlamagne Tha God. During the tense interview, a Biden staffer cut off by saying that the Democratic nominee had to go. Charlemagne was furious and shouted back, “You can’t do that to black media!”

Biden simply responded that he does that to either black and white media. He excused himself by saying that his wife needs to use the broadcast studio they set up in their Delaware basement for the 6 o’clock news.

The former Vice President then went to stare at his watch and said that he is in “trouble.” Charlemagne then asked Biden if he could come to the New York studio since he still has a lot more questions. However, the Democratic nominee rudely shot back, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”

Moreover, Charlamagne Tha God also spoke against Biden on his appearance for CNN. On Friday night, the host explained that his main “takeaway” from the exchange was that Biden kept reminiscing what he did back in the day for African-American communities, but failed to discuss what he had done for the present generation.

Charlamagne also called out Biden on the number of laws that he has supported, which gave way for the spike in arrests, and mass incarceration among members of the black community. In fact, the host believed that Biden was at the forefront of such a movement and that he should make changes if he is going to win the presidency. The host then concluded that Biden was a part of the “very intricate” system of racism in the country.

Even progressive media establishment, such as Vox, condemned Biden’s action. The media outlet claimed that Biden was only taking black voters for granted. Vox wrote, “it’s problematic because he, as a white person, cannot be a norm enforcer for the black community.

Currently, Biden, along with other top Obama officials, is facing serious accusations for orchestrating the Obamagate scandal after email evidence and transcript interviews revealed how Obama officials set then-incoming National Security Advisor Michael Flynn into a perjury trap.
