President Donald Trump lashed out on House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, describing her as a “sick woman” who was suffering from mental issues after the House Speaker fat-shamed the President by claiming that he is “morbidly obese.”

On Tuesday, reporters asked Trump to respond to Pelosi’s claims that the President should not be taking hydroxychloroquine given his “age” and “weight” group before adding that Trump was “morbidly obese.” The President took the high ground by simply dismissing Pelosi’s fat-shaming comment. “I don’t respond to her; I think she’s a waste of time,” he said.

However, Trump gave the House Speaker a nudge by adding that she might need a psychiatrist’s visit. “These people are sick. Pelosi is a sick woman, she’s got a lot of problems, a lot of mental problems,” he continued. The President warned that Pelosi’s rude remarks have no room as the country continues to face ongoing health and economic crisis and that she should get her “act together.”

The President defended his use of the drug hydroxychloroquine, believing that the medication can give him an “additional level of safety” to protect himself from the virus. Trump also explained that it was his own call to make. In fact, Trump believed that people would have commended such a smart move if someone had made the endorsement other than himself.

The President made the remarks after he attended lunch on Capitol Hill, dining alongside Republican senators. That same day, Pelosi immediately responded to the President’s comments in her media appearance for MSNBC’s “Deadline.” The House Speaker claimed that she was surprised by Trump’s response, stating that she never knew he would be this “sensitive.”

The show’s host, Nicolle Wallace, also questioned Pelosi’s motives behind the mean remarks. Wallace asked if she could “corroborate” her statement using the White House’s recently released report of the President’s health condition, or was this a deliberate decision to incite a reaction from Trump.

Pelosi responded, “I didn’t know that he would be so sensitive. He’s always talking about other people’s avoir du poids, their weight, their pounds.” She also used the same tactic that Trump, by saying that she did not want to spend additional time and media attention towards the President’s comments. Pelosi continued by saying that Trump should realize that his words “weigh a ton.”

Finally, the House Speaker suggested that instead of instructing people to inject “Lysol” in their lungs, or trying to self-medicate, Trump should mention something more helpful.

As The Patriot Hill reported, the exchange began when the President claimed that he had been taking a combination of hydroxychloroquine, and zinc as a preventive measure against the deadly COVID-19 virus.

Despite his best intentions, Trump had been widely criticized by the media establishment and left-wing politicians over his endorsement. In fact, even Fox News Channel host Neil Cavuto criticized Trump by saying that numerous studies proved the dangers of using the medication, and adding that taking such a drug “will kill you.” In addition, Fox News medical contributor Dr. Manny Alvarez also claimed that Trump was “highly irresponsible” for suggesting to use hydroxychloroquine either as preventive measures or as a treatment for COVID-19.
