As residents pushed back against the Democratic governor’s draconian orders, progressives, on the other hand, are using third party application data to track down lockdown protesters, as well as sharing it with left-winged media establishments.

Breitbart News recently uncovered a lead that was published by the Guardian. Based on the article, the media outlet claimed that progressive activists have been tracking down demonstrators using cellphone location data. The media outlet reported that protesters “are often traveling hundreds of miles to events, returning to all parts of their states, and even crossing into neighboring ones.”

The Guardian claimed that the data was provided by the Committee to Protect Medicare, a left-wing campaign group, which emphasized the role that the protesters had in spreading the virus. Moreover, the media outlet cites that the anonymized location data was gathered using opt-in cellphone apps, and most surprisingly, through data gathered by scientists from VoteMap. The data was able to pinpoint protests ranging from late April to May, in five Democratic states, namely Colorado, Florida, Wisconsin, Illinois, and Michigan.

In fact, big tech has been recently colluding with other progressive media outlets. Just recently, Eric Schmidt, Former Google CEO, had given $4.7 million to National Public Radio (NPR), whose goal is to expand the network’s reach to the Midwest and California by creating two additional newsrooms.

On Tuesday, the media establishment confirmed the grant from Eric and Wendy Schmidt, as a way to even further boost its network coverage. Schmidt also held a long history of left-wing support. During the 2016 elections, the former CEO backed failed Presidential nominee, Hillary Clinton. In fact, based on leaked information from WikiLeaks, Schmidt had even loaned the Google corporate jets, to Clinton and members of her campaign team.

Moreover, Schmidt also held a lavish Hollywood fundraiser to presumptive Democratic Nominee, Joe Biden, as well as reaching out to other Democratic figures, such as New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, to lead the blue-ribbon commission to help the state recover from the damages of the COVID-19 outbreak.

In another report from The National Center for Public Policy Research, evidence revealed that another tech giant, Amazon had partnered with the hyper-liberal Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) through the AmazonSmile program.

As a part of the agreement, Amazon’s shocking charitable donations will allow SPLC to act as a gatekeeper of its customer giving program. This meant that the liberal organization could deny Amazon customers “ the ability to give to politically conservative organizations.”

On the other hand, the tech giant supports other liberal organizations such as Planned Parenthood and the Freedom from Religion Foundation. Currently, there had been an online petition to end the organization’s affiliation with Amazon, which will be directly sent to the company’s board of directors.

In 2016, SPLC came under fire after it included British political activist Maajid Nawaz in their “hate list,” claiming that Nawaz was an “anti-Muslim” extremist. As a result, the liberal organization had to apologize and pay a whopping $3.4 million sum to Nawaz.
