President Donald Trump alleges Former US President Barack Obama, and Former Vice-President Joe Biden, on their involvement in orchestrating the “Russian Collusion” during the 2016 presidential elections.

On Monday, the President responded to Attorney General William Barr’s announcement that the Justice Department will most probably refuse to launch a criminal investigation on Obama and Biden, based on the investigations by US Attorney General John Durham.

“I have no doubt that they were involved in this hoax, one of the worst things ever to befall this country in terms of political scandal,” Trump stated. He reaffirmed his allegations claiming that “I have absolutely no doubt that Obama and Biden were involved.”

Trump believed that both Biden and Obama orchestrated what he considers as the “illegal takedown of a president.” he continued to say that the so-called “Obamagate” scandal should be taken seriously, as it might have cost him his presidency.

The President also expressed his admiration and confidence with the Attorney General, describing Barr as an honorable man who does his job. Trump also claimed that he would let Barr decide, as he believed that staying out of the investigation is the most “appropriate thing to do.”

In a press briefing, Barr denounced the actions that the top Obama officials, in the federal law enforcement, and the intelligence community had taken against Trump. He believed that their plot was “unprecedented in American history,” and that it was a clear proof of a “grave injustice.”

Barr began his statements by saying that as an Attorney General, and even during his confirmation hearings in the past decades, he had seen numerous instances in which the “‘criminal justice system” was used “as a political weapon.” However, Barr assured that as long as he stays in position, he will not allow such attempts to politicize the system.

He continued to say that what happened to Trump in 2016 and even in his succeeding years in the White House was “abhorrent,” one that remained unprecedented in American history. He spoke against how the law enforcement and the intelligence community had plotted to create and spread a “baseless” hoax against the President.

Barr also expressed his doubts that despite Biden and Obama’s involvement in the so-called “Russian Collusion,” he does not expect Durham to launch a criminal investigation. Currently, Durham led the inquiry into the origin of special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the possible Russian influence during Trump’s presidential bid.

Barr claimed that they are focusing on other cases of criminality. He also stated that the Obamagate scandal is not good, both in the American political life and in the country’s criminal justice system, specifically with the upcoming 2020 elections.

The scandal broke out as the recently declassified transcripts had been revealed, as well as the list of Obama officials who requested to “unmask” communications between then-incoming National Security Advisor, Michael Flynn’s communication with the Russian ambassador on November 8, 2016, and January 31, 2017.

As the evidence showed, both Obama and Biden knew early on about the said investigations, as well as high-ranking Obama admin officials, such as Director of National Intelligence James Clapper, former White House Chief of Staff Denis McDonough, and former US Ambassador to the UN Samatha Power.
