In yet another demonstration of his declining cognitive ability, presidential candidate Joe Biden called the novel coronavirus the “Luhan virus.” This happened during Biden’s virtual town hall on Friday. Biden was blaming President Trump for the spreading of the virus around the world. He also said that Trump is the reason why the G7 is unable to create a unified statement because the president insisted on calling the virus the Wuhan virus, which is just appropriate since the disease originated in the Wuhan province of China. But instead of saying Wuhan, Biden said, Luhan.

While the gaffe might be a minor one and can be overlooked if committed by other personalities, for Biden, it is just the latest in his string of embarrassing missteps in public which has left many wondering whether he is fit to campaign, let alone lead the most powerful country in the world.

During his first virtual town hall, Biden could be seen walking off-camera as he is talking to his phone. The video cut off just as he was about to go back and face the camera. The whole virtual town was a technical mess, as the people behind it struggled to put it together. Still, the highlight was Biden’s terrible performance, which puts into question his fitness for the presidency.

It seems that Biden makes a mistake whenever he opens his mouth or whenever he makes a public appearance. Earlier in the month, he got into an argument with an autoworker on gun control. It got to the point where the aging Biden asked the worker if he wanted to go outside with him as if asking for a fistfight.

Back in February, he called a woman in a campaign rally, “a lying, dog-faced pony soldier.” Then in December last year, he called a man in Iowa a liar and fat when they had a disagreement during a meeting.

Despite these mistakes, which would have been career-ending for anyone else, the mainstream media and most of the Democratic party is continuing to support Biden’s bid for the presidency.
